On Establishment vs Anti-Establishment.

The Establishment press are going utterly batshit bananas over UKIP pushing successful Youtube commentator Carl Benjamin (screen name Sargon of Akkad) forward as one of their MEP candidates for the South West. Another Youtuber called Count Dankula, He Of The Nazi Pug Joke, is also standing.

All the weighted words are coming out when they describe Sargon. He is 'anti-feminist' - when in fact he's anti RADICAL feminist in addition to criticising other radical ideologues regardless of stripe. He is 'far-right' - when in fact he is a Centrist Liberal with no tolerance for political correctness, speech policing or other cultural authoritarianism. He is an 'internet troll' - when in fact unlike the common image of a gleeful bully making vulnerable people miserable he punches sideways and up, mocking the influential and powerful with their foibles.

They dug up provocative tweets he made years ago, confronting UKIP leader Gerard Batten in an attempt to morally browbeat Batten into condemning Mr Benjamin. The shrill bourgeois squawking didn't move Mr Batten, which only made the media flap and squawk more.

They're scared of Sargon, and they have a right to be. He has over 1 million subscribers worldwide but with a large concentration in the UK. He's widely cited amongst Internet anti-authoritarian centrists, mixing factual research with strongly-worded critiques of whatever subject he tackles. He pulls no punches, doesn't care if those he critiques get offended, and only takes back his words and apologises if he gets something factually wrong. He is in favour of free speech, free discussion of ideas and exposing the rot of cultural Marxism that has crept into Western institutions.

They are scared, because Leftists (not Liberals - they're not the same and it's past time for that word to be reclaimed from the Left) don't want free debate. They are on the 'right side of history' and 'woke' and don't need any troublesome facts disturbing the Utopian glamor they weave for the disaffected.

They shut down dissenters at speaking events, claiming it is a moral right that they storm the speaking hall, pull fire alarms, throw bleach at speakers. They suspend students from university for expressing opinions that are not incitement to violence, but merely controversial against the party line. They are terrified of actually going head to head in a debate of principle and idea, because they know their ideas lose to Classical Liberalism, every time. So they Other the dissenters, and persecute them, and get them removed from online platforms, try to break their rice bowls by getting them fired from their jobs or blocked from soliciting donations from Paypal or Patreon.

The Establishment are terrified. They have done nothing but Other and dismiss Sargon of Akkad and Count Dankula, and others like them, but now they have a glimpse of a possible future class of politician who doesn't care what the press think of them. Who can communicate directly with their voting base via social media. We've seen how enormously powerful a tool that has been for Donald Trump, being able to talk directly to 'his' people without needing the media at all.

And Trump is buffoonish and petulant. How much more effective will that tool be in the hands of thick-skinned, patient and clever men? For do not be misled by the colorful online personae: Count Dankula and Sargon of Akkad are clever, verbally adept and very engaging.

I am greatly looking forward to the British Establishment's continuing panic attack. Long Live Kekistan!
